Runtime

Wizlink® Runtime executes the scenario on a workstation. It does not allow changing the scenario contents. Additionally, it provides information about the process of executing scenarios, in a form of a log in separate text files.

Wizlink® Runtime runs as a local application on a PC, with standard user privileges.

Wizlink® Runtime can be installed with the provided .MSI file. The installation process begins after specifying the destination folder for the application. The setup requires administrator privileges. Wizlink® Runtime is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019. Installation on the server requires licences Windows Server RDS CAL (each active robot needs one RDS CAL). Wizlink® Runtime needs 128 MB RAM (recommended 512MB). These values may vary, based on scenario complexity.

Standard Wizlink® scenario is stored in a .wlnk file, containing all data needed for the scenario to run. It can be edited in Wizlink® Designer and run in Wizlink® Runtime. The encrypted scenario is stored in a .wlnx file and such file can only be opened in and processed by Wizlink® Runtime.

Once launched, Wizlink® Runtime appears as a small icon in the notification area on the bottom right of the screen. To run the scenario manually, right-click the Wizlink® icon and select the Run command. You can also use the Task Scheduler application (part of Administrative Tools), in which you need to create a basic task, select a trigger (determine how often the scenario will be run, e.g. daily), enter the address of the .exe application to be launched (to WizlinkRuntime.exe) and enter the command responsible for indicating and starting the robot.
